Terms of service

Last updated 9 August 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Pravin Parmar, trading as Integrity, at Bangalore in India ("we", "us"), contactable at integrity@trysamantha.app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

What Integrity is

Integrity is an accountability app. You write down what you intend to do; at the time you set, it asks whether you have started; and a promise only counts as proven once you have answered questions about the work and had a photograph accepted as proof.

It is not a medical, psychological or therapeutic service. It is not advice of any kind. If you are struggling with your health, talk to a professional rather than to an app that keeps score.

Your account

Tell us at integrity@trysamantha.app if you think somebody else is using your account.

What you may not do

The leaderboard

Taking part is optional and can be switched off in Settings. While you are on it, other signed-in users see your display name, avatar, rank, points and streak, and nothing else — never your promises, your reasons, your reports or your photographs.

Anybody can report a profile. We may clear a display name, remove an uploaded avatar, or remove somebody from the leaderboard, without notice, if it breaches these terms. Removal from the leaderboard is not the loss of an account: your own record stays yours and the rest of the app keeps working.

Verification, and what it does not promise

Verification uses an automated system, including a language model, to generate questions, grade answers and judge photographs. It is not perfect. It will sometimes reject work you genuinely did, and it may sometimes accept something it should not.

Your content

Your content stays yours. You keep every right in the promises you write and the photographs you take.

You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to send it to the providers listed in the privacy policy so it can be verified and reported on. That permission ends when the content is deleted. We do not use your content to train models, and we will never publish it.

Availability

The service is provided as it is. It is run by one person on modest infrastructure: it may be unavailable, may lose data despite our efforts, and features may change or be withdrawn. We do not promise any particular uptime.

We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first, and you can reply to us at integrity@trysamantha.app. If we end your account for a breach, the same 30-day period applies before your record is erased, so you can ask us to look again and can request a copy of your data.

If we withdraw the service altogether, we will give you at least 30 days' notice at your registered email address so that you can take your record with you.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. It is erased after 30 days, and signing in during that time cancels the deletion. See the privacy policy for exactly what is removed.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or opportunities, for loss of data beyond restoring what our backups hold, or for any decision you make on the basis of what the app tells you about your own record.

Subject to the same, our total liability for all claims taken together is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and INR 10,000. Integrity is currently free, so for most people that is the second figure.

We are not liable for the content you put into the app, for a promise you did not keep, or for anything you do or do not do because of a score, a report or a check-in.

If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law gives you and nothing here takes those away. Some countries do not allow the exclusions above; where that is so, they apply only as far as that country permits.

If somebody else brings a claim about what you uploaded

If you put something into Integrity that you had no right to put there — a photograph of somebody who did not agree to it, somebody else's work, or anything unlawful — and a third party brings a claim against us because of it, you will cover the loss we reasonably incur, including reasonable legal costs.

This applies only to a claim caused by your breach of these terms, and only so far as the law allows against a consumer. We will tell you promptly about any such claim, will not settle it without asking you, and will let you take part in defending it.

If you installed this from an app store

Your agreement about the service itself is with us, not with the store you downloaded it from. The store is not responsible for Integrity, for its content, or for supporting it, and any question or complaint about the app should come to us at integrity@trysamantha.app.

Where you downloaded it from the Apple App Store: Apple is not a party to these terms, but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary. If the app fails to conform to any warranty Apple is required to give, you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation to you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You must also keep to the rules of the store you used.

Price

Integrity is free today. If a charge is ever introduced, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand and you will not be charged anything without agreeing to it first. Nothing you have already used will become chargeable after the fact.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, the app will tell you before it takes effect, and where the law requires it we will give you at least 30 days' notice. Continuing to use Integrity after that means you accept the new version. If you do not, you can delete your account, and the version you agreed to governs everything up to that point.

The rest of the agreement

Complaints, before court

If something goes wrong, email integrity@trysamantha.app first with what happened and what you want done. We will reply within 30 days and will try to settle it directly. You do not have to do this before going to court, and it does not shorten any time limit that applies to a claim.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts at Bangalore have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer living somewhere else, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law where you live, and it does not stop you bringing a claim in your local courts where that law lets you.
